Lisle Woman's Club

The Lisle Woman's Club is involved in a broad range of projects benefiting women and children both locally and internationally:

Snow Valley Bingo	Home Life Department
	Members visit Snow Valley Nursing Home residents the 3rd Saturday of every month to lead bingo, pass out small prizes, and play piano from 9:45 to 11:00. Snow Valley is located at 5000 Lincoln Ave (Rt. 53) in Lisle. Contact: wharp11@yahoo.com
Lisle Township Holiday Sponsored Families	Home Life Department
	The club sponsors 4-7 families in financial need during the holidays. We provide the ingredients for a Thanksgiving dinner, gifts at Christmas and Easter Baskets and pantry items at Easter. Members generously sign up to bring in the items of their choice. The items are collected and delivered by the members of the Home Life Department directly to the families. Contact: wharp11@yahoo.com
Heifer International	International Affairs Department
	Pocket change is collected at every meeting to support Heifer International, an organization that teaches agriculture and livestock development to women in poor countries. These women are then able to provide financial support to their families. This year we are donating trees, and in the past two years we have donated pigs and chicks. Contact: jojocool2@sbcglobal.net
Lisle Township Food Pantry	Education Department
	Used children's books are being collected and donated to the Lisle Township Food Pantry. The books are available for any customer of the food pantry to take home. Contact: lislewomansclub@aol.com

International Affairs Department

Operation Smile arranges cleft lip and cleft palate surgery for children in China and throughout Asia.

Personal hygiene items are collected to be given to children post-surgery. Bags are handmade to hold the items.
